Sinners and Saints: Tales of Old Laramie City
Published in Hardcover by High Plains Pr (January, 1994)
Average review score:

Enjoyable and meaningful....Enjoyable because Beery's style of writing is so smooth and captivating. Meaningful because after living here in Laramie for some thirty odd years, it was gratifying to learn of all these historical people, the places, and the events, which shaped this town. Laramie was a rough and tough place to live in those times, and the characters in this book, although now long gone, simply come alive. I would highly recommend it.

The Snowy Range Gang (Evans Novel of the West)
Published in Hardcover by National Book Network (May, 1992)
Average review score:

This is a great example of life on the western range. The reason I liked this book is because I'm very interested in western folklore. The book has great examples of western life. For example, it showed how the cowboys found cattle rustlers and put them in jail for theft.I think that this would be great for kids who enjoy western folklore.

Spirit of the Moon
Published in Hardcover by Forge (October, 1996)
Average review score:

Searching for truthThis book portrays the challenge of searching for the truth and escaping a life of fulfilling other people's desires. It shows that if you have the courage and determination, as well as strength, you can overcome what you consider injustice. A good portrayal of the American Dream (work hard for what you want and you'll get it!) in a unique fashion--using American cultural history, namely the 'conquering' of the Indians for your own benefit--to show other injustices. Keep up the good work Earl Murray!

A Stock Tank of Petunias on Poverty Flat
Published in Hardcover by Timber Trails (June, 1998)
Average review score:

A ranch-wife Erma Bombeck!Letellier recounts numerous experiences (funny, but sometimes poignant) about the life of a wife on a ranch in northern Wyoming. She's a really gifted writer, and the book's impossible to lay down till you're finished. (And then you start all over again!)

Summer of Fifty-Seven: Coming of Age in Wyoming's Shining Mountains
Published in Hardcover by Sunstone Press (November, 2002)
Average review score:

An Adventurous Journey Back in TimeHow wonderful an experience to go back to the days of innocence and adventure. Meet a superb story teller and fine writer in Stephen Joseph who takes us through his coming of age story to meet Jim Billy, Dick, and especially those old spirits of the West. All names that shaped a deep part of who he grew to be. This book has it all--romance, adventure, nature, and of course humor--all told with remarkable descriptions. And most of all you will be surprised with the author's revealing himself to us. Don't think this is a guy's book; any woman will enjoy the women characters that play an important part in the stories. Must read for anyone who grew up in those days; and a delightful longing might await those of you who didn't. Must read!

Teton Skiing: A History and Guide to the Teton Range, Wyoming
Published in Paperback by Homestead Pub (November, 1995)
Average review score:

A Five Star history by a man truly in touch with the rangeTeton Skiing is a phenomenal book written eloquently and comically from the perspective of a mountaineer (Tom Turiano) who has climbed and skiied nearly every peak in the range. The book is perfect for someone thinking about a trip to the Tetons in order to gain more insight into the history that made it the touring site it is today, as well as, a guide to help in planning your trip. It is also a great book for anyone interested in history and/or the outdoors in general. Although it is partly a guidebook, it was more intersting to me for its well researched and colorful history of this mythical wonder called the Tetons. If you haven't been to Wyoming's Tetons, this book will make you want to go. If you have been, it will drive you to return and discover things unseen. A book I treasure!
